Facts:  Always a favourite, strawberries are not considered a true berry as their seeds are on the outside rather than on the inside.  On average, one medium-sized strawberry has about 200 seeds on it.  Strawberries belong to the rose family, which explains why they are so aromatic.  Delicious with a big dollop of cream!!  Tennis, anyone?!!

Storage:  Keep in the fridge.

Preparation and cooking:  Carefully wash before use.  Remove the stalk from each strawberry, then cut in half, quarters or eat whole. Use in all sorts of desserts, from cheesecakes to trifles etc...
