Facts:It is a herbaceous, biennial plant with a short stem upon which is crowded a mass of leaves, usually green but in sometime red or purple, which form the cabbage head. Whilst you may think we Brits like and grow a lot of cabbage the most cabbage in the world is produced in China and India!
Storage:Store in the fridge in a plastic bag with holes in it to allow air to circulate or in a paper bag.
Preparation & Cooking: Wash before use. Discard the outer leaves, then cut in half and remove the stalk. Cut the halves into quarters and then into bite-sized pieces. The cabbage can then be steamed, boiled in a little water or sauteed.
