Country of origin: South Africa Weight: Each
Facts: Nectarines are a fuzzless variety of peach - they are not a cross between a peach and a plum as some people may think. They tend to be smaller than peaches, and have a smooth golden yellow skin with large red blushes on it. They also bruise a lot easier than peaches so be careful!! The word "nectarine" means "sweet as nectar" - obvious why that's their name then!
Storage: Best kept in a plastic bag in the fridge.
Preparation and cooking: Rinse before use, then eat straight out of your hand or in desserts, fruit salads etc..
