Facts: A "new" apple, the Pink Lady was developed in Australia in the early 1980's and marketed in 1989. It is a cross between a Golden Delicious and a Lady Williams apple and is now one of the most popular apple varieties, due to its distinctive flavour and colour and its tart/sweet taste and crisp, white flesh.
Storage: In fruit bowl or fridge.
Preparation and cooking: Rinse before use, then eat either straight out of hand or in a variety of recipes, including apple pies, crumbles, cobblers, sauces or tortes.
